Maite Perroni

Maite Perroni, a Mexican actress as well as singer and songwriter, entered the world in Mexico City but grew up in Guadalajara. Her breakthrough arrived in 2004 when she served as lead actress playing Guadalupe "Lupita" Fernández in the cast of the wildly successful 2004 teen telenovela Rebelde and joined RBD, the Latin Grammy-nominated pop group spawned by the production. The ensemble conducted tours, laid down seven albums, and moved millions of records and downloads across the Americas before disbanding in 2009.

She exited the program in 2006. Acting and singing roles followed in four further telenovelas: Cuidado con el Ángel (2008), Mi Pecado (2009), Triunfo del Amor (2010), and Cachito de Cielo (2012).

Affiliation with WEA Latina began for her in 2012, after which she recorded her debut album. Both of her opening singles, "Tú y Yo" and "Eclipse de Luna," climbed to the top spot on the Mexican charts. Released in August of 2013, the debut album bearing the title Eclipse de Luna as well reached number three on the Mexican chart, number two on the U.S. Latin pop chart, and number nine on the U.S. Top Latin albums chart. During 2020 a leading role on the Netflix series Dark Desire came to Perroni.
