Biography
Nahemah, distinct from the French black metal outfit Nehëmah, emerged from Alicante in Spain’s southeastern reaches. The band blends Swedish-style melodic death metal, as heard in Dark Tranquility and Opeth, with classic rock song structures and an expansive, film-like atmosphere drawn from Mogwai and Isis. After forming in 1997, the musicians spent years refining their intricate approach, eventually sharing it through the 2001 release Chrysalis and the 2007 album The Second Philosophy. Those recordings featured vocalist Pablo Egido alongside guitarists Miguel Palazón and Roberto Marco, bassist Paco Porcel, and drummer José Diego.
