Biography
Having first risen to prominence as an Australian actress and television personality, Natalie Bassingthwaighte entered the music industry once she secured national fame by playing Izzy Hoyland on the long-running Australian soap opera Neighbors. She stepped away from acting in 2004 to front the dance outfit Rogue Traders as lead vocalist throughout the ensemble’s most commercially prosperous stretch. Her tenure included two platinum-selling albums, after which she exited the group in 2008 to concentrate on solo work. Adopting a stronger pop focus for her debut album 1000 Stars, Bassingthwaighte saw the project enter at the summit of the Australian charts when it arrived in February 2009.
