Biography
Taylor Henderson, an Australian singer and songwriter, made his initial public appearance alongside his father during the fourth season of Australia's Got Talent back in 2010. It wasn't until 2013, though, when he took part in the fifth season of The X Factor Australia, that he achieved his major breakthrough. Performances from the show, such as his renditions of tracks by Mumford & Sons, Daryl Braithwaite, and Damien Rice, charted on the Australian singles charts, leading to a recording deal with Sony Music Australia. On November 1, he issued the single "Borrow My Heart," which entered the charts at the top position and later earned double platinum status. Toward the close of that month, his debut album bearing his own name appeared, featuring studio recordings of his X Factor performances, and it too topped the charts upon release while achieving platinum certification. In July 2014 came Burnt Letters, his second studio album and the first to contain solely original compositions. This acoustic folk-pop record highlighted Henderson's considerable artistic development and marked his second consecutive number-one debut. Its lead single, the ballad "When You Were Mine," reached a peak position of number five and received platinum certification.
