Biography
Off Bloom emerged from Copenhagen in 2015 as a group specializing in hook-driven left-field electro-pop. Danish producers Mette Mortensen and Mads Christensen joined forces with English expat Alex Flockhart to establish the act, placing Mortensen at the forefront as its soulful lead singer. Prior to this project, she and Flockhart had shared a previous band, while her introduction to Christensen occurred during a period of acting-school study. The group’s early track “Love to Hate It” surpassed one million streams in 2016, followed by spring 2017 support dates alongside Dua Lipa and LANY. Their first release, the bedroom-recorded Love to Hate It EP, appeared via Sport Records in October 2017.
