Biography
Christine and Scott Dente first crossed paths as students at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, where they soon began playing local clubs with Christine handling vocals and Scott on guitar. Once married, the pair released a self-titled debut album that unveiled their dreamy alternative pop style. National exposure arrived for Out of the Grey in 1993 through a tour supporting Peacock, four CCM Top 20 singles drawn from the follow-up The Shape of Grace, and a CCM Magazine readers’ poll that named the duo second-best new artist. That same year Christine joined Susan Ashton and Margaret Becker on the album Down the Road. Out of the Grey’s third release, Diamond Days, surfaced in 1994 and was succeeded the next year by GraVity. Three years after that came the retrospective Remember This: The Out of the Grey Collection 1991-1998.
