Wes King

CCM singer/songwriter Wes King entered the world in Winder, Georgia, on January 20, 1966. He first took up the guitar at age 14 and completed his earliest compositions two years afterward. Following Bible studies at Covenant College, he moved to Franklin, Tennessee, for further instruction at Christ Community Church and cut his debut solo LP, The Ultimate Underlying No Denying Motivation, in 1990. One year later he released Sticks and Stones, then returned in 1993 with The Robe. Common Creed, issued in 1995, marked his strongest commercial showing to that point by generating three CHR number-one singles: “Life Is Precious,” “The Love of Christ,” and the title track. In 1997 King delivered A Room Full of Stories, widely regarded as his finest work to date.
