Pablo Montero

Mexican singer Pablo Montero first discovered his affinity for music by joining his father in song during early childhood. He subsequently took the frontman role with the ensemble Trébol, releasing a record whose single “Si Tu Supieras” rose on nearby charts. After delivering traditional Mexican material in bars and clubs throughout Mexico City, he earned the chance to issue his initial solo project, ¿Dónde Estas Corazón?, which appeared in 1999.

His screen work commenced with parts in Vivo Por Elena and Nunca Te Olvidaré, after which he assumed a lead position beside Victoria Ruffo in the widely viewed Latin telenovela Abrázame Muy Fuerte. Returning to recorded music in 2000, he delivered the pop-and-ballad album Que Voy A Hacer Sin Ti and regained chart traction. Two years later Pidemelo Todo surfaced, introducing the further success “Hay Otra En Tu Lugar.” The set was promptly complemented by the video collection Videos y Mas, yet Montero reentered the studio before the year closed. There he fashioned a salute to legendary Mexican vocalist Javier Solis, reworking several of the artist’s signature bolero and ranchero pieces for present-day listeners. The finished effort, Un Homenaje a Javier Solis, reached stores in spring 2003.
