Paula Tsui

Born on January 1, 1948, in Wuhan, Hubei, China, Paula Tsui built a multi-decade career as a Cantopop singer. Her recording debut arrived in 1969 via Crown Records. Over the following two decades she issued albums on Man Chi Records (1971-1973), Wing Hang Records (1973-1978), Sony Records (1978-1981), Contec Records (1982-1986), and PolyGram Records (1986-1990). She also maintained a long association with Hong Kong’s TVB television station. Although she ceased issuing new studio material during the 1990s, compilations continued to appear regularly and she sustained an active schedule of live performances. The most notable of these was a 1992 engagement that comprised 43 concerts in 37 days at Hong Kong Coliseum.
