Pepe Quintana

Pepe Quintana works as a photographer, video director, writer, and producer. He first built visibility through a YouTube channel launched in 2010, drawing notice from producers, artists, managers, and the wider public alike. His entry into the music world appeared fully realized from the outset. Clips he directed for urban Latin pop and reggaeton acts such as Darkiel, Gotay, Arcangel, Kendo, Farruko, and others have accumulated more than 26 million views.

In January 2016 Quintana issued his debut single as a performer. “Ella y Yo,” featuring Farruko, Tempo, Anuel AA, Almighty & Bryant Myers, rose near the summit of video rankings while also registering on multiple Hot and Top Latin songs charts; the clip spread rapidly and remained on the charts for 36 straight weeks. He issued the follow-up “Me Llama,” featuring Darkiel, Ñejo, Jory Boy, Gigolo & La Exce, that May, placing the track on several digital charts. In August the audio-only “Ella y Yo Remix,” featuring Farruko, Ozuna, Arcangel, Anuel AA, Ñengo, Kevin Roldan, & Mas, surpassed 31 million views within its opening month, reached best-seller status on digital lists, and continued to perform strongly even as the original version held positions on both airplay and song charts.
