Madrid-born musician and actor Pol Granch first gained worldwide attention in the early 2020s through a lead part in the Netflix series Élite alongside the release of his single "Tiroteo (Remix)" with Rauw Alejandro.

Pablo Grandjean Sanz, the son of a French father and Spanish mother, grew up in Madrid and picked up the guitar at 13. Online cover versions brought him to the notice of Factor X Espana, where he emerged as one of the program’s standout talents after joining in 2018 under the guidance of Italian vocalist Laura Pausini. His initial studio outing came with the 2019 single "Late," which was soon followed by the self-titled debut EP Pol Granch, a collection of pop-leaning ballads centered on romantic themes. The following year he issued his first full-length album, Tengo Que Calmarme, a more polished and confident effort that reached number 12 on the Spanish charts. Shortly afterward he made his acting debut as Philippe Florian in the popular Netflix school drama Élite. The year 2021 marked his breakthrough as a recording artist when "Tiroteo" entered the Spanish charts at number five; a Rauw Alejandro remix lifted the track even higher, securing five-times-platinum status in Spain along with number-one placement in Panama and number four in Spain. Seven additional singles arrived in 2022 and were gathered on his second studio album, Amor Escupido, issued that October.
