Hailing from Los Angeles, vocalist Quiñ applies the phrase "Fantasy Soul" to her alluring and ethereal approach to R&B. She issued a pair of self-released EPs that merged velvety melodies with forward-looking beats before entering a recording contract with Interscope in 2019.

Bianca Leonor Quinoñes, her given name, began by supplying supporting vocals, contributing her atmospheric delivery to rapper G-Eazy’s 2015 track “Think About You.” Immediately after that appearance she focused on a solo path, introducing the term “Fantasy Soul” to encapsulate her singular mix of spacy ambient textures, jazz-inflected melodies, and swaying vocal harmonies. Her first EP, Galactica, arrived in 2016 and contained cuts such as “Math” and “Over Again,” the latter benefiting from a guest verse by G-Eazy. The following year brought her second EP, Dreamgirl. That five-song set led with the single “Sticky Situation,” a keys-driven R&B workout featuring guest vocals by Odd Future affiliate Syd. After the 2018 release “Remind Me,” Quiñ signed with Interscope and created her Fantasy Soul imprint. The mysterious single “Mushroom Chocolate,” a duet with 6LACK, constituted her initial major-label offering.
