Biography
Red Marlow captivated viewers throughout the 13th season of The Voice by spotlighting his rural Southern heritage, a strategy that carried him to the finals and built a loyal following. Born in Alabama, he relocated to Nashville at age 22 and spent the next decade and a half working as a demo vocalist while issuing independent EPs to advance his recording career. Eventually he stepped away from that path to run a construction company known as Mr. Fix All, which sustained his family yet left his ambitions for country stardom intact. At 40 he therefore auditioned for The Voice, earning a spot on the program in the second half of 2017 and a place on Blake Shelton’s team. He remained until the finals, where an early elimination left him in fourth place. Afterward he scheduled a tour and prepared a full-length album for release in 2018.
