Chris Kroeze found success by staying true to roots rock and country sounds as a native of Wisconsin during his run on season 15 of The Voice. The contestant finished as Runner Up by the close of that season in late 2018, yet his broad heartland following had already taken shape through notable internet chart performance and extensive touring that included opening slots for acts such as Montgomery Gentry and the Doobie Brothers.

Raised in the western Wisconsin community of Barron, Chris Kroeze picked up the guitar at age six. During middle school he overcame his nerves to appear in a school talent show, after which he became certain that music would define his path.

Kroeze traveled to Nashville in 2014 to cut his debut single, "Four Letter Words," which expanded his audience across the upper Midwest. Before long he maintained a rigorous touring schedule that often exceeded 200 performances annually.

He entered the 15th season of NBC's The Voice, broadcast in late 2018, where he landed on Blake Shelton's team and advanced to the finals before placing second behind Chevel Shepherd.
