Biography
In 2009 the Swedish hard rock outfit Renegade Five scored its first Top Ten album when Undergrounded Universe arrived. Formed two years earlier in Karlstad, the lineup consists of Per Nylin on vocals, Per Lidén on guitar, Harry Kjörsvik on bass, Peter Damin on drums and Håkan Fredriksson on keyboards. After securing a contract with Bonnier Amigo, the group issued its first commercial release, the 2007 single “Shadows,” which climbed to number 21 on the Swedish singles chart; the follow-up “Love Will Remain” fared even better, peaking at number 16. Three further singles—“Running in Your Veins,” “Darkest Age” and “Save My Soul,” the last two of which landed inside the Top 30—preceded the band’s full-length debut, Undergrounded Universe.
