Eritrea-born vocalist RIMON established her reputation through introspective songcraft and a layered vocal approach that fuses hip-hop, neo-soul, and dancehall textures. Her introduction to listeners came via the 2018 EP BBYGIRL FOCU$, anchored by the driving R&B track “Grace.” Subsequent projects such as the 2020 release I Shine, U Shine and the 2021 collection Digital Tears allowed her to keep broadening her sonic range, while 2023’s “I Choose U” with RINI marked the start of several high-profile joint efforts.

Having entered the world in Eritrea during 1997 before growing up in Amsterdam, singer/songwriter RIMON launched her path by joining the local collective Alle$ Lifestyle. She left formal education behind to chase her ambitions and, in January 2018, issued her first single “Grace,” crafted with production help from fellow collective member Samuel Kareem. The ensuing months brought “Nighttime,” “Realize,” and “sugarcoated love,” with the final track appearing on her opening EP BBYGIRL FOCU$, which surfaced that November and showcased a collection of romantically charged R&B framed by her confident, velvety delivery.

Following a year devoted to songwriting and stage work in 2019, she resurfaced in May 2020 with the second EP I Shine, U Shine, adopting a style leaning closer to rap and including guest spots from Darrell Cole and Denzel Curry. Digital Tears followed in 2021 and spotlighted the tracks “Feed Me” and “Mountain Views.” RIMON then entered a stretch of partnerships that included “Build Me a House” alongside Tiggs Da Author and the aforementioned “I Choose U” with RINI, before rounding out the year with “Can’t Forget,” a collaboration featuring Brooklyn rapper Kelz2busy.
