Ruidoblanco

Forming in Barcelona in 2004, Spanish quintet Ruidoblanco drew from Radiohead and Coldplay to shape an indie pop sound anchored in the boy-girl vocal harmonies of Salva and Cris. The two joined guitarist Dani, bassist Chano, and drummer Nacho—later succeeded by Cristian—and devoted the following seven years to earning recognition as one of the city’s strongest unsigned acts. A subsequent agreement with WEA Spain enabled the release of debut EP Midiendo el Tiempo con Canciones and the recording of their debut album of the same name with producer Suso Saiz (los Planetas, Duncan Dhu). Issued in 2011, the album contained the single “Ultima Version de Ti” and a guest spot from rock en español vocalist Ivan Ferreiro.
