Sega Bodega works from London as a producer, songwriter, vocalist, and co-founder of the NUXXE collective. Drawing from film alongside present-day club scenes, he started constructing intricate and occasionally abrasive pieces in the early 2010s, putting out multiple EPs plus two mixtapes of deconstructed soundtrack material. Toward the end of the decade he took on extensive production duties, teaming with label co-founders Shygirl, Coucou Chloe, and Oklou along with vocalists and rappers that included Brooke Candy and Zebra Katz. His first album, Salvador, which he handled entirely on his own as producer and singer, came out in 2020. The introspective concept record Romeo arrived the next year, followed in 2024 by the restless and oneiric Dennis.

Salvador Navarrete entered the world in Galway, Ireland, as the child of Chilean and Irish parents. After growing up in Glasgow he spent a short time at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland, though he acquired most of his production skills through online tutorials. Beginning in 2010 he issued tracks under the name Peace before adopting Sega Bodega in 2012. EPs began appearing in 2013, and he moved to London the year after. Reflecting his cinematic leanings he released the reworked movie-theme mixtape SS (2015) and launched a monthly NTS Radio show titled Sega Bodega's Soundtrack Series. That same year Slugabed's Activia Benz label put out his EP Sportswear together with a tracksuit he designed. Additional work came via the online collective WWWINGS and Chicago rapper Mikey Dollaz, plus the project Y1640 formed with Coucou Chloe.

Crazylegs, the Bristol grime imprint, issued the Ess B EP in 2017, which contained the striking single "CC" featuring Shygirl. Another single for the label, "Nivea," appeared later that year. Bodega also delivered the second cinematic mixtape SS (2017) and launched the NUXXE label and collective, generating numerous productions for his labelmates. The solo EP self*care surfaced in 2018, indicating a shift toward material centered on vocals. Following his work on Shygirl's widely praised 2019 single "BB" and two further solo singles, he released the debut album Salvador in 2020. The dense, autobiographical record examined struggles with mental health, relationships, and alcoholism. "Make U Stay," a joint effort with British singer-songwriter Låpsley, emerged later that year. Romeo, the 2021 concept album, featured guest appearances by Charlotte Gainsbourg on "Naturopathe" and Arca on "Cicada."

He supplied productions for FKA twigs, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Caroline Polachek, Björk, and additional artists. The 2023 collaboration "Arena!" with Safety Trance, also known as Cardopusher, was released next. The third album, Dennis, shaped by sleepless nights and sluggish days, appeared in 2024.
