Biography
Operating out of Paris, the multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Sergent Garcia fuses salsa, reggae, hip-hop, and jazz, a mixture he has labeled “salsamuffin.” Together with his seven-piece outfit Locos del Barrio, which came together in 1997, he issued the debut album Un Poquito Quema'o throughout Europe two years afterward and brought it to U.S. listeners in early 2000.
