Biography
Shae Jacobs, born in Britain, first earned notice through his songwriting and production efforts before emerging as a performer drawn to sleek, pop-infused modern R&B. His 2015 feature arrived on producer Chloe Martini’s “Unknown,” a nostalgic ballad shaped by new jack swing. A subsequent collaboration with house specialist Bit Funk produced “Off the Ground,” which entered the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and secured the 2017 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. Club-music momentum continued when he co-wrote Gryffin and Katie Pearlman’s “Nobody Compares to You,” a song that reached number 20 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. After affiliating with Dr. Luke’s Prescription Songs, Jacobs issued his first official solo single, “Space,” in 2018.
