Biography
St. Grandson serves as Belgian singer/songwriter Benjamin Decloedt’s understated indie pop endeavor. Recognition arrived when the act placed as a finalist during the 2015 installment of Studio Brussel’s De Nieuwe Lichting competition, where the track “Midnight Swim” received exposure. That placement secured a deal with Universal Music Belgium, prompting the label to issue the next single, “All Around Us,” during spring 2016. Joined by cellist Jolien Deley, multi-instrumentalist Klaas Tomme handling synths and bass, and drummer Laurens Van Bouwelen, the ensemble delivered “You Will Find” that October as a precursor to a full-length album slated for 2017.
