Swarmz

The London rapper Swarmz, residing in South East areas, fuses his African and Jamaican roots with current British styles to produce a mix of Afro-bashment and Afro-swing. Greenwich provided the setting for his 1997 birth, where family listening habits that featured numerous Jamaican performers shaped his initial creative drive. Once school began, he joined friends in starting to rap. The move into professional work brought a shortened stage name, Swarmz, after he had first used Swarmzy-B. Released in 2018, the breakout single "Lyca" achieved viral spread and secured him a deal with Virgin Records.
