Teezo TouchDown

Futuristic R&B, trap, melodic pop-punk, and additional strains converge inside Teezo Touchdown’s omnivorous vision of pop. The Texas-born rapper, singer, and producer moved abruptly between modes on his first studio album, How Do You Sleep at Night?, issued in 2023.

Aaron Thomas entered the world in 1992 and absorbed an eclectic array of recordings through his father, a working DJ. While still enrolled in high school he began producing tracks and performing as a DJ himself. His entry into the music industry arrived in the late 2010s via a series of independently issued singles and accompanying videos. National notice followed in 2019 when “100 Drums” incorporated elements of a Panic! at the Disco composition. Soon afterward he was working alongside Tyler, the Creator and Kenny Beats; in 2022 he joined the Call Me If You Get Lost tour as an opening act alongside Tyler, the Creator and Vince Staples. The following year Teezo appeared on songs from commercially dominant projects by Lil Yachty and Travis Scott, then delivered his own debut full-length, How Do You Sleep at Night?, in September. That album juxtaposed contrasting styles and sonic palettes while featuring appearances by Janelle Monáe, Fousheé, and Isaiah Rusk.
