Tejai Moore performs hip-hop-infused smooth R&B as a vocalist while also supplying material on a freelance basis. Born in Miami, Florida, he grew up across multiple countries because of his military family's relocations and turned to music professionally only after finishing high school in Germany. Launching his career in 2002 under the name Lil T, he shared bills with Migos, Jagged Edge, and Sean Kingston throughout Europe before returning to the United States in 2007. A brief recording deal with GS Boyz in the late 2000s ended when that act disbanded. He then concentrated on songwriting commissions, among them the 2013 Curtis Moore track "Lipstick," before issuing his first EP, Drums & Heartbeats, on Valentine's Day of 2014. Around the same time he helped adapt Anita Baker's "Sweet Love" into "Street Love," the debut single for British boy band and X Factor finalists Rough Copy; Epic released the song in June 2014 and it reached the Top 30 of the U.K.'s R&B singles chart. Top Notch Music followed later that year with his standalone single "Let's Fly." The second EP, Irregular, arrived via 341 Music Group in 2016. Moore joined Swagger Splash on the 2017 track "Around Me," then self-released his debut full-length album, Write My Wrongs, in 2018.
