Theo Kottis entered the dance music landscape through his breakthrough release Beautiful Strangers in 2018. Since then he has actively produced rhythmic tracks himself, woven preferred selections into his own DJ performances, and supported other favored artists by issuing their material through the label that bears the same name.

Edinburgh, Scotland, served as his birthplace in a city whose nightlife often receives less attention than Glasgow’s, while his upbringing took place in Greece. He quickly built credibility at local rooms such as Cabaret Voltaire, eventually holding a residency there, and at Sub Club in Glasgow, widely viewed as the country’s leading dance venue. Those experiences led to steady touring demand, where his deep-house sets aligned with the era’s club atmosphere yet avoided any sense of superficial nostalgia.

Singles and EPs under his own name began appearing in 2014, with the mellow yet spirited “It Wasn’t Meant to Be” drawing notice in 2016. The seven-track Beautiful Strangers followed in 2018, establishing a strong deep-house mood that elevated his profile and supplied the title for his imprint. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 he supplied uplifting DJ sets during lockdown and the well-received banger “Seventies.” Touring has continued across many locations since, accompanied by further EPs including 2023’s Enjoy the Ride and Space Dust as well as the 2024 releases Lighthouse and Rain.
