Biography
Emerging from Melbourne, Australia, the electro dream-pop duo Two People took shape through the efforts of Phoebe Lou and Joey Clough. The pair established the project in 2014 once their earlier group, the popular indie pop quintet Snakadaktal, had come to an end. Their first release arrived late in 2015 with the single “Fading,” whose atmospheric and melancholic qualities, paired with strong melodic and lyrical appeal, earned praise both domestically and internationally; reviewers drew parallels between the duo’s beguiling style and the work of the xx, Daughter, and Beach House. A follow-up single, “If We Have Time,” appeared in July 2016.
