Biography
The Brit-pop group Viva Brother crafts classicist pop/rock deeply indebted to 1990s bands such as Blur and Oasis. Assembled in Slough, England toward the end of the 2000s, the ensemble performed under assorted earlier names before adopting Viva Brother. Fronted by singer and guitarist Lee Newell, the roster also includes guitarist Sam Jackson, bassist Josh Ward, and drummer Frank Colucci. Their debut album, Famous First Words, produced by Stephen Street, arrived on Geffen Records in August 2011.
