Emerging from Los Angeles, California, White Arrows fuse indie rock with electronic and psychedelic textures. Mickey Schiff, who records as Mickey Church, launched the project after posting a song during his time in New York and drawing unexpected notice from key blogs and outlets such as Nylon Magazine. Once settled in L.A., he completed the roster with Steven Vernet on bass, Andrew Naeve covering guitar and electronics, John Paul Caballero also handling guitar and electronics, and younger brother Henry Schiff, billed as Henry Church, behind the drums. The ensemble built quick momentum, issuing its first album, Dry Land Is Not a Myth, in 2012 through Seattle-based Votiv. Subsequent routing took the group across the U.S., Europe, and Australia in support of Cults, White Denim, the Naked and the Famous, and !!!, while festival slots included Coachella and Sasquatch. Their second album, In Bardo, arrived in September 2014.
