Yalee

Yalee's range as a vocalist, composer, and stage artist lets him shift fluidly between R&B and hip-hop in the vein of Chris Brown. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, the performer realized his hometown could not accommodate his ambitions and moved to New York City on the day he reached age 21. He introduced himself to audiences in 2013 with the mixtape Remember My Name, which contained his version of Rihanna's hit "Stay." One year later the mixtape selection "Pretty Girl Dance" came out as a single, followed in 2015 by "Pretty Girl Dance, Pt. 2" that added Fetty Wap to the remix. Three further singles appeared in 2016—"Kick Up," "Pokéma-N-Go," and "Friends with Benefits"—the last two of which also featured on Yalee's 2017 EP, 10 Hours Away: You Was Never wit Me Sleepin in My Buick.
