Biography
C.C. Lemonhead and Jay Ski, previously associated with Quad City DJ's and 95 South, oversaw roughly six bass-music production ventures that included 69 Boyz. Rappers Thill Van, Fast, Slow, and Rottweiler "Mike Mike" formed the actual group in Jacksonville, FL. Once Lemonhead and Jay Ski reached triple-platinum status in 1993 with "Whoot (There It Is)" as 95 South, they launched CeeJai Productions and handled the writing and production of 69 Boyz's single "Tootsee Roll." The song reached the Top Ten of the R&B charts and achieved double-platinum certification. Later that year the album 199Quad appeared and likewise earned platinum status. The Wait Is Over arrived as the second album in 1998, followed two years later by 2069.
