Biography
In February 2011, the Naugatuck, Connecticut quartet A Will Away came together, drawing from early-2000s emo pop and '80s radio hits to shape a sincere yet lighthearted rock approach. The original lineup featured Matt Carlson, Ryan Cool, Collin Waldron, Aaron Johnson, and Sean Dibble, although Cool later departed. Material followed quickly, and their debut EP, Not Far from Home, appeared only months after the group began. For several years they issued recordings in brief increments, placing EPs and split singles on a biennial schedule while touring and expanding their audience. Bliss, their most notable EP, emerged in 2015 under the guidance of noted engineer Gary Cioffi. Their first full-length album, Here Again, was released by Triple Crown Records in March 2017, once more with Cioffi at the helm.
