Alex Vaughn

Drawing upon her classical vocal training and command of music theory, the versatile Alex Vaughn shapes an innovative sound rooted in soulful R&B while delivering candid, relatable songwriting as a singer, songwriter, pianist, and producer. From her base in Prince George County, Maryland, she sharpened her craft by serving as a background vocalist for artists including Goapele, Cece Peniston, and MuMu Fresh. Her first independent outing, the 2017 EP The 4pm Mix, was followed by the full-length Shift in 2018. A 2021 signing with Love Renaissance, the Interscope Records imprint, yielded an array of stylistically varied singles the next year, among them the streaming hit "Mirage," before the EP Voice Notes appeared later in 2022.
