Biography
Based in California, singer and songwriter Alexander Cardinale shows a talent for fusing infectious pop melodies designed to linger with emotionally charged indie folk textures. Breakthrough success arrived in 2016 once his folk-pop composition “Made for You” appeared in a far-reaching Coca-Cola marketing effort, which directly prompted a recording contract with Atlantic Records.
Cardinale first surfaced in 2009 through the EP Sick of Dreaming and then spent close to ten years sharpening his abilities while steadily expanding his following, all before stepping into wider visibility with the Warner Bros.-issued single “Made for You.” Persistent and highly productive, he shared bills during that period with Pentatonix and Melissa Etheridge and secured placements for his material in the series One Tree Hill, Castle, and Ghost Whisperer. The same year brought a broader release of the propulsive folk-pop success “Made for You,” which accumulated millions of streams after serving as the centerpiece of a global Coca-Cola advertising campaign. In 2019 he finalized an agreement with Atlantic and joined Christina Perri for the single “Simple Things.”
