Alexia

Born in Italy, Alexia launched her singing career at age four and earned the nickname Little Wonder by prevailing in multiple regional competitions, after which she enrolled in music and dance lessons. By 1990 she had joined the DWA label as a backing vocalist and contributed to Double You’s “Please Don't Go.” Around the same period, Italian producer Roberto Zanetti, professionally known as Robyx, assembled the Ice Mc project with Alexia supplying lead vocals alongside a rapper. The act played clubs throughout Europe, and “Think About the Way” was included on the Trainspotting soundtrack. Alexia entered the charts as a solo performer in 1995 with “Me and You,” then issued “Summer is Crazy” in May 1996. She subsequently reached the top of the European dance-pop rankings with “Uh La La La” and recorded her debut album Fan Club in 1997. After signing with Sony Music she released The Party in 1998 and Happy in 1999.
