Biography
The British dance performer Tina Cousins, whose style incorporates jazz elements, discovered her passion for singing during childhood. In her late teenage years, she honed her vocal abilities by leading a big band ensemble reminiscent of the 1940s. During her early twenties, she balanced modeling assignments with performances alongside multiple groups while crafting a demo recording that eventually reached the renowned dance producer Pete Waterman. With his guidance, she laid down several singles, one of which became the U.K. dance success "Killin' Time." Upon encountering this track via radio broadcast, Sash! extended an invitation for her to join him in creating the single "Mysterious Times," another track that achieved notable success on European dance charts. Not long thereafter came her first album, Killing Time, which yielded the additional hit "Pray." Republic Records brought this album to American audiences during the middle of 2000.
