Biography
Anteros is a U.K.-based indie rock outfit that pairs playful melodies with frequently funky riffs to explore personal subject matter in its lyrics. The quartet originated in London in 2014 and took its name from the Greek deity of requited affection; its lineup comprises vocalist Laura Hayden, bassist Joshua Rumble, lead guitarist Jackson Couzens, and drummer Harry Balazs. Within twelve months the members had assembled several original songs, which they assembled into a self-titled EP issued in 2015. That recording generated greater demand for live dates and festival slots, activities that occupied the band for the subsequent three years until it entered the studio in 2018 to cut its first album, When We Land, released the following year through Distiller.
