Biography
INHEAVEN, hailing from South London, blends grunge and shoegaze with additional elements to create a diverse rock sound that draws from multiple eras. Chloe Little, who studies film and serves as the band's bassist and vocalist, initiated the project by producing brief visual pieces that vocalist and guitarist James Taylor incorporated into his songwriting. Through this collaborative method, the group crafted their inaugural track, "Regeneration," and following the addition of drummer Joe Lazarus along with guitarist Jake Lucas, they shared this song and others on the internet. These recordings caught the ear of Cult Records, established by Julian Casablancas of the Strokes. In 2015, the label issued "Regeneration" as INHEAVEN's first official single. Additional releases came after, such as "Bitter Town" later that year, plus "Baby's Alright" and "All There Is" in 2016. The band traveled to Wales alongside Tom Dalgety to lay down their debut self-titled album, whose more refined production was previewed by the tracks "Vultures" and "World on Fire" ahead of its September 2017 launch.
