Biography
Hailing from Baltimore, American rapper Bandhunta Izzy crafts intricate, word-heavy verses shaped by Chicago drill rhythms and the harsh realities of his hometown streets. After navigating a difficult early life filled with drug sales and neighborhood conflicts, Izzy first drew attention by teaming with his brother and fellow MC Bandhunta Jugg for the joint cuts “Bandhuntas” and “Bandhuntas, Pt. 2.” Working alone, he put out the 2016 singles “BBB” alongside Blue Benjamin Sleepy plus “Rumors” and “I Got It.” Republic Records signed him the year after. His opening mixtape Code Blue landed in early 2018 and included contributions from Jugg, Young Crazy, Key Glock, and Peewee Longway.
