Biography
Formed in 2012 in Wausau, Wisconsin, indie rock group Barely Civil lists emo peers Modern Baseball and Sorority Noise among its stylistic touchstones. The band’s first EP, Year of the Dog, surfaced in 2016 on Hawaiian Shirt Records with singer/guitarist Connor Erickson, guitarist/backing vocalist Alex Larsen, bassist Ben Forst, and drummer Isaac Marquardt in the lineup. Take This to Heart Records issued the quartet’s debut full-length, We Can Live Here Forever, during March 2018; its reflective indie rock placed inside the Top 20 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
