Biography
Originating from Greenville, SC, Chasen Callahan refined his songwriting abilities during his time as a worship pastor. In warmer months he would form temporary groups for performances at area youth camps, yet those configurations regularly dissolved each September. That pattern led him to create a lasting ensemble alongside guitarist Evan Silver and drummer Aaron Lord. National exposure arrived through the polished 2008 release Shine Through the Stars, whose opening track “Crazy Beautiful” reached the summit of the Christian radio charts. The breakthrough earned a contract with INO Records, label home to Christian artists such as Caedmon’s Call and Decyfer Down, and the band resurfaced in 2010—this time adding bassist Jared Barber—to issue That Was Then This Is Now.
