Known for her exacting delivery and persistent lyrical intensity, Bronx rapper Connie Diiamond projects a bold and combative persona. After launching her commercial career in the late 2010s and amassing dozens of recordings, she drew a Def Jam contract through the 2021 freestyle “Ball If I Want To.” Her steely major-label debut arrived with “Started” in 2022, after which she released the projects Underdog Szn in 2023 and Underdog Szn: BRB in 2024; the latter includes a take on “Ghetto & Ratchet” that features fellow Bronx native Remy Ma, one of her chief influences.

Born Constance Burns, she spent her formative years between the Bronx and Queens, participating in poetry slams as a young teenager before turning to rap. Her 2016 “Summer Sixteen” freestyle circulated widely online, prompting official releases soon afterward. A series of self-released singles and EPs culminated in her 2021 DaBaby “Ball If I Want To” freestyle, which led Def Jam to sign her; she continued issuing independent material until October 2022, when the label issued the assured “Started,” quickly followed by the Dame D.O.L.L.A. collaboration “Raid.” The nine-track Underdog Szn arrived the next May, spotlighting “Raid,” “Move,” and the KenTheMan-assisted remix of “Move.” Several months later the lean, stern “Ghetto & Ratchet” raised her profile further, and its Remy Ma remix appeared on Underdog Szn: BRB, which surfaced near the close of 2024.
