Fronted by its namesake, the Los Angeles hard rock and metal outfit Davey Suicide fuses classic Sunset Strip sleaze with dramatic, stadium-scale industrial rock. The project surfaced in 2012 via the EP Put Our Trust in Suicide and has since delivered a series of provocative yet inventive goth-industrial albums such as World Wide Suicide (2014), Made from Fire (2017), and Rock Ain't Dead (2020).

Davey Suicide formed in 2010 when the frontman joined forces with Drayven Davidson, Needlz, Niko Gemini, and Derek Obscura. The self-described “gutter goth rock” sound reached listeners that year through the debut EP Put Our Trust in Suicide, issued on the Cleveland, Ohio independent label Standby Records. Their self-titled full-length debut appeared the next year, followed in 2014 by the sophomore album World Wide Suicide. A protracted legal dispute with Standby over recording rights and contract terms consumed the subsequent eighteen months, prompting Suicide to post a candid video that quickly circulated online. The matter was resolved in early 2016; that August the band unveiled the anthemic single “Rise Above” ahead of the third studio album Made from Fire, which surfaced in 2017 and reached number 24 on the Billboard charts. Their fourth long-player, Rock Ain't Dead, arrived in 2020.
