A Massachusetts-based performer of Dominican descent, Domenic Marte crafts bachata as a singer, songwriter, and producer whose style incorporates a subtle pop sensibility. He launched his solo career in 2004 with a Sony Discos release and has since accumulated several entries on tropical radio playlists. His first full-length project, issued that same year as Intimamente under the shortened billing Domenic M, later gave way to credits under his complete name. From this set emerged “Ven Tú,” which climbed to the Top Ten of Billboard’s Latin Tropical Airplay chart, while the subsequent tracks “Ella Se Llevó Mi Vida” and “La Quiero” reached the Top 20 and Top 40 positions, respectively. Around this period he also appeared on two cuts from Bylli Crayone’s self-titled 2005 album, most prominently the track “Toyfriend.” Marte returned in 2007 with Deseos de Amarte, whose title song matched the earlier success by landing inside the tropical Top Ten, followed by a milder hit, “Con los Ojos Cerrados.”
