Fiel a la Vega

In 1994 the Puerto Rican Latin rock band Fiel a la Vega was assembled by local musicians Ricky Laureano and Tito Auger, both of whom had previously belonged to Los Arraizas Voladores, the 1989 ensemble directed by brothers Pedro and Jorge Arraiza. Percussionist Papo Román completed the five-piece lineup, which produced a self-titled debut album issued in 1996 and the subsequent live set El Concierto Acústico, recorded at a July 1997 concert. Following the appearance of A Quien Pueda Interesar, the group devoted itself to an orchestral collaboration that reached the stage in a March 1999 performance at San Juan’s Fine Arts Center. Fiel a la Vega also delivered the album Tres that same year.
