Hombres G

Emerging from Madrid's music circuit, the Spanish pop/rock quartet Hombres G was assembled by guitarist Daniel Mezquita, formerly of Los Residuos, together with drummer Javier Molina and singer/bassist David Summers, who were soon joined by guitarist Rafael Gutierrez. The group adopted its name from the American film G-Men. Hombres G first appeared onstage at Madrid's Rockola and cut the 1984 demo Milagro En El Congo. A contract with the independent Twins label quickly followed, yielding a debut album that spotlighted the infectious song "Devuelveme A Mi Chica," their initial hit. The 1986 release La Cagaste...Burt Lancaster preceded a South American tour. After delivering their seventh album, La Historia Del Bikini, in 1992, Hombres G disbanded, only to reunite a decade later and mount an international preview tour supporting the 2003 album Ano Que Vivimos Peligrosamente.
