Gates of Ishtar

In 1994, ex-members of Disrupt established the Swedish black metal outfit known as Gates of Ishtar. Their Seasons of Frost demo secured a recording contract with Spinefarm, a Finnish imprint, which then issued the group's first full-length effort, A Blood Red Path. Gates of Ishtar laid down tracks for their follow-up, The Dawn of Flames, under the Invasion banner, though Metal Blade ultimately handled its American distribution upon the 1998 release.
