Biography
Born to the actress Gloria Mayo and the composer-producer Kiko Campos, the Mexican teen-pop artist Gloria Aura first stepped into show business by appearing on the youth television program La Hora de los Chavos. That early exposure soon brought her an appointment as a UNICEF spokesperson. Following her signing with BMG, producer Mariano Pérez helmed her self-titled debut album, whose track “Soy Tu Mal,” written by Oscar Botella, propelled the record up the Mexican charts. In 2001 she served as opening act for the popular ensemble OV7 on its nationwide tour.
