Guccihighwaters

Emerging from the cloud rap scene, Alternative R&B singer and producer Morgan Murphy, performing under the alias Guccihighwaters, cultivated a style that merged emo, hip-hop, and R&B into a sound that quickly took root. After relocating from Long Island to Ireland at five and returning at fifteen, the resulting feelings of displacement, together with his natural introversion, steered him toward creating music in his bedroom. He first shared beats online as Notmorgan, later adding his own vocals and adopting the name Guccihighwaters. Those early recordings appeared through independent channels, reaching a milestone with the 2017 mini-album post death. An expanding online audience soon drew label attention, prompting Epitaph to contact and sign him in 2019. His debut album, jokes on you, followed in 2021.
