HUDDY channels a blend of pop, punk, and alternative sounds to champion outsiders. After building a massive online following, he transitioned into music by issuing his first full-length project, the Geffen-issued Teenage Heartbreak, in 2021 and later scattering additional tracks such as the 2023 single “Slowly Healing.”

Born Cole Hudson in Stockton, California, he was surrounded by music from childhood: his father performed on guitar, ukulele, and banjo; his mother received a college scholarship for her musical studies; and his older sister performed in choir. Those surroundings helped shape vocal abilities and tastes that eventually spanned My Chemical Romance and All American Rejects, Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars, and XXXTentacion. Initially releasing as LILHUDDY, he cultivated an early creative presence across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, where he amassed tens of millions of followers and billions of likes. He entered the professional music sphere in 2020 and joined the cast of Machine Gun Kelly’s musical film Downfalls High, which premiered in January 2021. That same month he issued his unvarnished Geffen debut single, “21st Century Vampire,” followed in February by “Eulogy of You and Me.” The next pair of releases, “America’s Sweetheart” and “Don’t Freak Out,” completed the set of tracks gathered for his 2021 debut album Teenage Heartbreak. The project reached the upper half of Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. He later streamlined his name to HUDDY for the 2022 single “All the Things I Hate About You” and the 2023 release “Slowly Healing.”
