Bay Area rapper 24kGoldn crafts melodic flows shaped by an affinity for luxury fashion and the music-industry lifestyle. Platinum certification arrived before his 18th birthday on the strength of the 2019 single “Valentino,” which went viral. After moving from online song postings to a major-label contract, he brought his rap-and-singing hybrid and pop-friendly sensibility to the 2020 chart-topper “Mood” and to his gold-certified debut studio album El Dorado, released in 2021. His second EP, Growing Pains, followed in 2024.

Born Golden Landis Von Jones in 2000, he grew up amid the cultural mix of a lively Bay Area neighborhood, an experience that later shaped his adaptable musical approach. Singing came first, yet fashion and sneakers dominated his early interests. When he began rapping at age 14, his artistic identity formed rapidly. Online releases started in 2016, with early tracks such as “iPhone” and “Trapper’s Anthem” drawing modest notice. Steady output continued until 2018’s “Ballin’ Like Shareef” reached broader audiences. While enrolled at the University of Southern California, he signed with Columbia affiliate Records LLC and recorded material that would soon turn viral, beginning with the hook-driven “Valentino” in late 2018 and extending to 2019’s “Games on Your Phone” and “A Lot to Lose.”

His first EP, Dropped Outta College, appeared in November 2019 and entered the Billboard 200. “Mood,” featuring Iann Dior, arrived in July 2020 and reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100; the song also led charts in several other countries and prompted a remix with Justin Bieber and J Balvin. Debut studio album El Dorado landed in March 2021, showcasing guest spots from Future, DaBaby, and Swae Lee; it peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200 and earned gold status. Later that year he issued the single “Prada” featuring Lil Tecca. 2022 brought “In My Head” with Travis Barker and “Overthinking” with Mabel. After a deluxe edition of El Dorado appeared, he released “Mistakes” and “Checkers” featuring Bandmanrill. In 2023, “Bite” and “My City” (with Kane Brown and G Herbo) surfaced as part of the Fast X soundtrack. The EP Growing Pains arrived in 2024, including a contribution from Leikeli47.
